Mindful Monday is a tradition where we take a few minutes to reflect on the week gone by and the one ahead.
Feel free to join in the fun by commenting!
What Are You Grateful for This Week?
- My Raw Event Was a Success! On Saturday I had my first Toronto Spread Your Raw Food Wings event. It was awesome, everyone loved the food, and we got some great questions and discussions going. Thanks to everyone who attended, I am truly grateful for each of you!
- Listening to new music: I tend to stick to my tried and true bands. My usual go-to songs are from Sarah McLachlan, Delerium, and The Cure. But these past few weeks I’ve been branching out to new songs by Tegan & Sara and of course the raw-foodist Jason Mraz. It’s been awesome!
- Whole Foods Event: On Sunday I recovered from leading my own event by heading out to Whole Foods and listening to Yafa from House of Verona‘s talk on raw food and aging. It was a great talk specifically about grey hair, wrinkles, and cellulite. All those fun fun topics!
- Apple Fixing My Mouse: My mighty mouse hasn’t been scrolling for a few weeks now. I brought it to the Apple Store this past week and they fixed it, so I’m a happy geekgirl again!
What Are Your Intentions for The Coming Week?
- Much Video To Edit: I have hours and hours of video to edit, both from my event on Saturday and also from earlier in the week. I know that it won’t edit itself, but I’m putting it out there that it will be quick and easy and turn out magickal.
- Beethoven Concert: This week my boyfriend Robin and I are attending a classical music concert. It’s my intention to relax into it and really be in the moment. I tend to get edgy during classical music concerts, but I’m working on really enjoying being there immersed in the experience.
- Chinese New Year! Next Sunday February 14th (Valentines day) is also Chinese New Year. That means spending time with Robin’s family celebrating the year of the tiger. Somehow the year of the tiger sounds very exciting, so I’m open to learning more about the symbolism behind it. Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Congratulations with your first Spread Your Raw Food Wings! I'm curious to see some footage of the event. It's so funny that you bring up the fixed mighty mouse. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand, because I'm the same when it comes to broken stuff (especially when it prevents me from being productive).
I can't believe a week has passed again. Last week I started drinking green smoothies every morning (instead of breakfast). I like it and I'm curious to see what this is going to do to me on the long term.

YIPPEE! So glad Brett & I attended the Raw Food Wings cooking class on Saturday. It was a GREAT date afternoon – far better than dinner out! We both walked away energized & full (comfy full!) of yummy goodness. I REALLY hope you will offer more cooking classes in the future! I have many RAW recipe books but what you taught us was simple & YUMMO. Friends could not believe “we” made 2 drinks, 3 mains & 2 desserts in 2 1/2 hours – You are Bewitched (my fav show – shows my age!). I have already made 3 of the recipes at home :0)
sending great big hugs to you & Robin

Thanks Bart! :) I will definitely have some of the footage up as soon as I've edited it. It's a little daunting, but it will get done… especially now that I've got my mighty mouse fixed. ;)
Definitely let us know how the green smoothies are helping/affecting you too! :D

Awww thanks so much for the kind words Cherie! It was awesome having both of you in the class, we had a great time! The power of the blender and a little magick can do wonders for time. Oh and I'm so glad you made some of the recipes at home already! :D And I'm definitely planning to do another class in the future, just need to decide on the content & recipes. :)

Love these questions!
I am grateful for:
1. A fabulous weekend at the Oregon coast. The power of the waves, the regenerative effect it has, and the joy it brings.
2. Getting to know you better, along with the Hello!Self blog readers, thanks to your participation in the post last week!
3. Connection and Potential. I find myself this morning with an open book of opportunities and directions to choose. I am grateful to be in this space with awareness.
My intentions for the week:
1. Remain open and aware so that as I take my next step, I trust it, love it, and am energized by it.
2. Release the seriousness and embrace the lightheartedness. I may just need to utter, “Emily, stop taking this all so friggin seriously!” a few (hundred) times
3. Prepare for Valentine's Day (not by consuming a zillion candy hearts! lol)

Ooh I loove your intention not to take things so seriously. That's a big one for me too. :) Thanks so much for participating in Mindful Monday, you rock my dear! :D

Great going Nathalie! I had a great week as well. Did a demonstration/presentation on Kangen water. Had 6 attendees including M.D. who is seriously considering this purchase for his patients. I also met with 3 new strong prospects for my business. Lots of other events too including raw food potluck on Friday. I got to tell my story of how I've become raw.
This coming week I'll be calling prospects and composed a letter to the restaurant world. So I'll be copying and determining my marketing plan for distributing it.

Hi! It sounds like you've had a great week, it's so exciting to be watching your business unfold before my eyes. :) Way to go! And the raw food potluck sounds great too. :)

I made up my dish: carrot cake. I read several recipes over the internet and
then looked at my supplies and did my own thing. People raved about it. One
person suggested that I submit the recipe. Told me that non-raw food eaters
would love it.
