Mindful Monday: Olympics Edition

Mindful Monday

Mindful Monday is a tradition where we take a few minutes to reflect on the week gone by and the one ahead.

Feel free to join in the fun by commenting!

What Are You Grateful for This Week?

  • Canadian Hockey: Yesterday the Canadian hockey team won the gold medal in the winter Olympics, and it was epic. There was no shortage of cheering on the streets of downtown Toronto, and it was just such a fun time to be Canadian. ;)
  • Meeting New Friends: I’ve been making connections left and right, some of which are just so much fun and I am super grateful! Check out Liz Rice for her veg*/eco friendly events, Justine for her Etsy marketing materials, and Bianca for her freelancing. I’m also grateful for meeting with my wildly brilliant friends Tara and Jamie!
  • The End of February: With the end of February comes March! I am super grateful for both the warmer (I assume) weather and the fact that SXSW is coming up! If you’ll be at SXSWi let me know, I’d love to meet you. :)

What Do You Intend for The Coming Week?

  • Rolling Out the Goodies: I’ve been hard at work creating my next set of recipe videos, and a new recipe book. I’m super excited that this week I get to share a piece with everyone!
  • Recipes & More Recipes: I’ll likely have my head in the recipes for a big chunk of this week, not that I mind. I can’t wait to share what my next Big Thing is going to be! :)
  • More Live Events: Working on promoting my next live raw event, happening in April. I’m hosting another live Spread Your Raw Food Wings class here in Toronto, woohoo! There are only half the spots left, so if you want in click here to sign up.

Your turn, now

Leave a comment below and let me know what you’re grateful for this week, and what you intend for the coming week.

Love, Nathalie

I'm grateful for our inspiring connection too, Nathalie! What a great meeting!
I'm grateful for so many wonderful Olympic moments, including the hockey golds!
I'm grateful for growing my support squad in a way that's truly going to help spread the creative living love.

This week I intend to plot out a schedule for the next year and to share more details of an upcoming workshop, Authenticity2.

This is a great exercise, Nathalie! Thank you :)

I am grateful too that February is over and March is here, that means warmer weather! There is a Hammerfall concert on the 15th that my fiance and I plan on going to (Great power metal band from Sweden-http://www.hammerfall.net). I hope to also research about going back to finish my Psych degree this summer at community college. I just have SO many math classes that I need to take! :(

Whoops! that link got screwed up! Its just http://www.hammerfall.net
Sorry! :)

Ooh thanks for the link to hammerfall, very cool! And yessss – March! :D Even though February is a short month it somehow felt really long. ;) Good luck with getting your psych degree back in order, you can do it Jill!

Thanks Nathalie! I think I'll have an easier time with the math classes (SIX of them) because I'll actually be able to work on it at home with my fiance (I think a huge part of my problem was the fact that I was over 4 hours away and hated where I was going to college, but I had no choice!) Going to a community college earlier on just wasn't practical. My fiance says too that community college is definitely easier than regular and he also says that the classes are a lot easier (no matter what you take). You're welcome for the Hammerfall link, I've heard a lot of their songs from their albums, but have never seen them live yet. I agree that February seemed like it dragged on and on! ;)

Congratulations Team Canada! It makes me smile to hear how you folks responded in Toronto.
I had a great week, although it started rough. I had a minor emotional upset last Monday when I realized that I was unable to pay a bill that was due (overdue to be truthful). I didn't have the funds and felt awful. However, I began thanking God for being unable to pay my bills. I know that sounds strange. The idea was recommended to me from a CD I had heard by Toni and Doug Banks. They are leaders with Kangen water. Before being introduced to the water, they were literally homeless, living on the floor of family or friends' homes. Someone suggested that they praise God for being homeless. Initially Toni resisted saying, “I cannot pray a lie.” However, the spirit moved her and she did say out loud that prayer. Within 72 hours, everything changed. So I applied that suggestion to my situation. I'm pleased to say that today I paid the bill. Throughout the week, money flowed into me.

My goals for the coming week: revise my marketing piece to reflect my focus on a corporate wellness program featuring healing Kangen water; continue to follow-up with prospects; develop new prospects by networking (I'm attending at least one event on Wednesday and another possibly on Friday); settle my landlord duties; visit with family who are traveling from the West Coast. Make 2 sales.

Go Canada! It was a such a great game to watch! Canadian hockey is definitely one of the things I'm grateful for this week :) It was great to see all Canadians uniting this week for the Olympics – truly surreal.

I'm also grateful for meeting new friends as well! Over the past two weeks, I've been bumping into different people that I really enjoyed talking to and would love to keep in touch with. I'm also pretty excited with meeting you too, Nathalie – can't wait!

For the coming week, I intend to continue working on the details for my freelance business and get that up and running soon. Towards the end of the week, I'm looking forward for some creative good times with my scene study class, as well as creating a social media story with a good friend of mine.

Nancy, your story of last week is so touching. It's amazing to see the magic of prayer in action like that. I am so grateful that everything worked out for you as well. :)

It sounds like your coming week is full and delicious as well!

Yay Canada! It was amazing indeed. :)

It sounds like you've got some great things coming up this week, can't wait to hear all about them!
