Mindful Monday is a tradition where we take a few minutes to reflect on the week gone by and the one ahead.
Feel free to join in the fun by commenting!
And… we’re back! Last time I was going on about my upcoming trip to SXSW, and now I’m recapping.
What are you grateful for this week?
- A Good Night’s Sleep: During SXSW I spent most nights catching up with friends or making new acquaintances. It was totally awesome! Though coming home to my bed and sleeping regular hours again is something I’m very much grateful for.
- Owning How I Look: Since I hadn’t changed my twitter icon in over a year, it was hard for people to recognize me at SXSW. I took some new photos this week-end to reflect my new hair cut and my glasses. I’ve always had something against wearing my glasses in photos because of some residual stuff my mom passed down to me. Now I’m working on owning my geek girl look!
- My Awesome Support Network: From all the great friends I met at SXSW, to my boyfriend Robin, to my family members and friends… and to YOU my reader and raw food business friend (client sounds too stuffy). I feel so grateful to each and every person for making this such an awesome time to know each other!
Over to you, now…
It’s your turn now! Leave a comment below and let us know what you’re grateful for this week, and what your intentions are!

Natalie, as I've said before, I'm always grateful for the witch riding the carrot stick. It makes me laugh every time. I'm also grateful today for something extremely big that is coming up. I believe I will soon be able to cure myself of Tourette's Syndrome. For nearly 30 years I've been fighting and trusting doctors and pills and nothing has helped until now. I am grateful because today I have been able to sit completely still for several minutes.
Hi Josh! Woohoo for making you laugh, that's something I'm grateful for. :) I am keeping a straight face my dear, but I'll need some proof on that Tourette's thing.
Nathalie, I wish it was a joke. I really, really do. Come over to World's Strongest Librarian and watch the How To Have Tourette's series, then watch today's “I Am The Movement” post. Video #7 is called No Excuses and is the most extreme instance I have on video, even though it wasn't that bad, relatively. Back in December of 2009 I finally sat still for one minute after 27 years of trying and failing.
Hi Josh! I am so sorry for being so insensitive to your issue. I just watched your “I am the movement” video post, and I am now fully on board. I am so impressed with the progress you've made, and truly happy to be here watching and cheering you on. Sending you so much support and many hugs! (And you did prove it, so that is even more amazing!)
Nathalie,
I love the new photo of you!!!
This week, I am grateful for quiet weekends. How nice not to have to be rushing off someplace. It was relaxing and rejuvenating!!
Aww thank you Lance. It's one of those things where I'm more comfortable with my other photo. ;) Yes – quiet week-ends rock! I'm so glad you got to relax and rejuvenate.
