Rawgu Raw Entree or Main Meal Recipe

Rawgu Raw Food Recipe Video

Today I’m pleased to share a very special raw recipe video. The chef in this episode of Raw Food Switch TV is none other than my gentleman friend, Robin!

I know you will enjoy learning how to make a fun Chinese inspired “Ragu” dish, that can serve as an entree or a main dish. During the summer months, Robin and I often eat these Rawgu recipes for lunch using whatever vegetables we harvest from the garden.

The Ingredients

  • Fresh Ginger
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Freshly cut Avocado or Olive Oil
  • Soy Sauce or Nama Shoyu
  • Broccoli or Cauliflower
  • Mushrooms
  • Any or all the vegetables that you want to add. :)

Cut and marinate the mushrooms with the diced ginger, garlic, and liquids/avocado. Then chop the remaining ingredients and add in. Let the whole thing marinate for 20 minutes or so, and your mouth will thank you for it!

I love your website.

I recently completed a detox after 55 years of junk foods. I love the way my green drinks give me energy, mental clarity and a sense of peace.

My question is: I have dentures, and have trouble chewing raw vegtables.
I bought a juicer, but I would love to find something tasty to chew.

any ideas?

Thank you for the kind words! Way to go on completing your detox. Definitely keep up the juicing, that's just a great way to get your greens and nutrients in easily.

For something tasty to chew, how about marinating in a little olive oil and your favorite spices? Marinate for a few hours or overnight to give the veggies time to soften up. It's delicious and easy, and hopefully easier on your teeth.

Another option would be to make “savory blended salads”. Basically you blend up the makings of a salad and toss in things like garlic, spices, etc, and eat like a soup/blended salad. Very little chewing required, but it still tastes good.

Do let me know if that doesn't work and we can come up with something else. :)

I made this for dinner tonight and it was utterly scrumptious! My mom had a bite and insisted I make it for her tomorrow. :D I can tell this is going to become a staple, particularly because it's so simple and versatile — in addition to the mushrooms and marinade ingredients I just threw in a bunch of cauliflower I had on hand, some fresh cilantro, and chopped scallions with a sprinkling of sesame seeds. Thank you so much!

You're so welcome, I'm glad your mom liked it too! I love how easy and versatile it is too, it's one of our staples for sure. :)
