What Does it Mean to be The Raw Foods Witch?

As of this weekend Raw Food Switch became known as Raw Foods Witch. What does this change mean? Let me explain it to you in the hopes that it will help you understand both my approach to Raw Food, my mission for this site, and my work as Raw Foods enchantress.

First of all: The Raw Foods Witch. Now don’t get the wrong idea, I’m not into evil or black magic. There will be no animal sacrifices. In fact I am more interested in veganism than in harming animals. I don’t have any witch’s familiars, but you could say my neighbor’s black cat is my gardening buddy.

Why Raw Food Magick?

Contrary to popular belief, I believe magick is not supernatural. Rather magick is one of the most natural earthy things out there, just as natural to us as breathing is. We all possess magickal powers, but we’ve somehow lost touch with that part of ourselves. Magick exists, and so do natural forms of healing through foods, herbs, and energetic techniques.

I realized it was time to allow my connection with this beautiful planet and source energy to shine through my work. That’s where The Raw Foods Witch came from.

My Intentions For The Raw Foods Witch

  • I want you to find joy, to release things that do not support you, and to experience generosity through my work.
  • I believe everyone can succeed, both at Raw Foods and in life.
  • I believe that good things are abundant, just like fruit in nature.
  • I want to build a place where people can cooperate, express themselves, eliminate regrets, and free themselves and those around them. I hope to be the catalyst to creating such a community of open-minded optimistic people.
  • I want to make it clear that I’m not interested in being militant or forcing 100% raw. My message is to help people eat more Raw Food, so they can get the results of eating raw, without feeling forced.
  • We can all be fulfilled, expand our interests, and increase our inner peace through Raw Food Magick.

Working Through The Spookiness of Raw Food

Spooky Raw Food Fears
Photo by Gabriela Camerotti – Spooky Raw Food Fears can be removed with A Raw Foods Witch’s Magick Touch.

My commitment to you is to be honest, to share openly, and to show up as my unique self. That means being a little witchy, sharing my ups and downs with raw food, and everything else in life. Since I’m going to show up as myself, I invite you to do the same.

I want to make Raw Food lighthearted, fun, and something that you can share with your friends and family. I don’t want to make Raw Food into another destination, I want you to enjoy the process. To learn more about yourself, about nature, and about the possibilities that are available to you.

For most people Raw Food is scary. At least that’s what might show up when you contemplate going raw. One of my intentions is to help you include more raw foods into your diet, by dealing with those fears.

What do you think of the new look?

I am gratefully indebted to many people who have helped me make this website the amazingness that it has become. Thank you to Kyeli (and Pace, I know you two talk about everything together!), co-founders of the Freak Revolution, who put the new logo in motion. Thank you to Martin Whitmore who designed the logo, I love my new Witchy alter ego and I don’t think I could ever go back.

Thank you to Laura Roeder, and all of the Creating Fame members for their feedback and support as they watched me figure things out. Thanks to Michelle, Elizabeth, Wendy, Long, Louise, Devin, Ale, Andrew, and Art.

I would also like to thank my parents, for suspending their disbelief (a witch?!) and for supporting me as I continue to evolve and change. They have always been so supportive, and I’m really grateful for who they are. I love you both so much Mom & Dad.

Thank you to my Grand Mother for the space I call my office. It makes a world of difference.

I would also like to thank My Alchemist Man, my wonderful boyfriend Robin. He is the one who suggested the title Raw Foods Witch, back when I was purchasing the original Raw Food Switch domain.

I dismissed his idea thinking it was too wacky and “out there,” but I secretly enjoyed the idea. Thank you My Alchemist Man, for planting the seed that grew into this new website. Thank you for being your amazingly creative self, and my business brainstorming genius.

Last but not least I would like to thank you, my readers. Thank you so much for being here with me from the start, and for watching me transform the site, and adapting to new ideas.

How do you participate?

You can join The Cue, a weekly e-zine publication delivered every Wednesday, that is designed to help you live a more enchanted life.

It’s not just about Raw Food, since I think food is just part of the equation to living an Enchanted Life. Every issue does include a magickal raw recipe, so you can dabble your way into raw food. Get The Cue.

Thanks for being here, your support means the world to me. Enjoy the pixiedust!

Love, Nathalie
